Teaching Philosophy
Being a university lecturer is not simply about directing or carrying out research. The teaching and training of students is an extremely important and (for me) a very enjoyable part of the job.
I have experience of teaching across a range of inorganic and organic chemistry modules, supervising laboratory based project students and supporting the development and delivery of teaching in various teaching administrative roles.
Year-on-year, I strive to improve my teaching. I aim to engage and enthuse students to help them become self-motivated, independent learners. The academic year 2026/27 sees the introduction of our revised curriculum, where we have updated the scientific content and enhanced our skills training to reflect recent developments in the subject.
